Needle and Mink Tattoos is a private tattoo shop in Reston, VA. As a woman-owned and LGBT+ owned studio, we focus on creating a comfortable, safe environment for all individuals to receive quality tattoos!
We are also Reston's first fine line studio, and we are proud to specialize in delicate line work and illustrative designs that other local studios do not cater to! That said, however, we are by no means limited to fine line; we are more than happy to curate your design in whatever style you desire, and would love to talk with you to make your visions become a reality!
We emphasize informed consent at all steps of the process, and try to ensure that everyone gets a patient and pleasant experience with their tattoos, no matter how large or small the design may be.
As we are a small private shop, our studio is by-appointment only (with the exception of special event walk-in days, posted up on our Instagram @needleandmink.) Since we are open by appointment, our hours are variable--please reach out to us if you're interested in coming for a tattoo or a consultation!
Please note we are not currently offering piercings, just tattoos.
About the Artist: Meggie (Mink)
The owner of Needle and Mink Tattoos, Meggie began her tattoo journey in 2019 and has been tattooing for over five years. Many come to her for her fine line tattoos or illustrative tattoos. That said, she is open to tattooing in most styles! Watercolor, black and grey, traditional, geometric, blackwork, full color: really anything is on the table (with the exception of photo-realistic portraiture).
Though centered out of her tattoo studio in Reston, VA, Meggie also enjoys traveling to tattoo at conventions. She has previously tattooed at the Villain Arts Baltimore Tattoo Convention, as well as internationally at the Great Britain Tattoo Show, and looks forward to starting to travel more for her work!
Meggie holds a degree in Creative Writing from George Mason University with a minor in art and a minor in conservation from the Smithsonian. Once described as “Tattoo Miss Frizzle,” she’s trying her best to live up to such a lofty title! She loves her pet ferrets and will happily tell you all about them. She also loves bizarre fun facts, snails and other gastropods, getting lost in the woods, fantasy world building, reading good novels, and hearing all about the nuances of people’s niche interests.
